Wil To Live

This past summer Waleska Lopez, along with family and friends, hosted the second annual Wil To Live event. Thank you to all those involved for your hard work, generous donation and continued support of our mission. We will be thinking of Wil and so many others who have been lost to this disease as we Walk in November to raise awareness throughout the world about the disease that took the life of this young man.

Waleska writes:
Wilfredo Lopez was 37 years old when he was diagnosed with advanced stage stomach cancer in November 2010. After a brief but valient battle, Wilfredo passed away in March of 2011, leaving behind his wife of 14 years, Kumiko and his 14 year old son, Jeremy.

Since then, his family and friends honor both his passion for baseball and a committment to fight this disease by hosting the annual Wil to Live Softball Game. This year, the game took place on June 24 in Brooklyn, NY. Entry price included tshirts, wristbands, food and drinks. Proceeds went to No Stomach for Cancer.
